Our "mail bucket" service collects email for your domain in the event your mail server goes down. When it come back on-line all email being held in your "mail bucket" will be sent like it was delivered normally.
Our "mail forward" service provides your users instant access to new emails. The moment your server goes down new email will be directed to our mail servers for you to access via our webmail system (or from your favorite desktop client for longer outages).
The primary difference between the two comes down to being able to access email when your server is down. If your company need 24 access to email then "mail forward" is the solution for your company. It allows your users to send and receive email even if your server has gone down. If your company does not need 24 hour access but does need the peace of mind know that email is not lost, then our "mail bucket" is the right solution. It will collect your email and send it on when your server is back online.
