If you have a brick and mortar store that you are currently selling items out of or have an idea for an item you want to sell, the odds are fairly good you can sell it online.
Ecommerce is not limited to physical items, it can take on many forms: items that are ordered and placed in a shopping a shopping cart, software that is purchased and downloaded via a time expiring link or paying for access to a member only section.
selling goods and services
Selling goods and services depends on what is being sold. We don't believe in recreating the wheel at the customers expense. Many times our in-house or a 3rd party shopping cart will meet the needs of most companies. Both have the ability to display items or services for sale, provide a place to put ordered items (a cart), seamlessly integrate with a payment gateway and perform order fulfillment.
For specialty items or services that don't really conform to a shopping cart or need features outside of what is available, companies can utilize our application development to create a custom shopping cart or payment service.
accepting payment
Before there were services such as PayPal, businesses utilized gateways tied directly into their merchant account. This option is still available but businesses can now choose to utilize services such as PayPal for collecting payment.
Which gateway to use depends on the requirements of the project.
